Tracie Lea Harlow of Melissa, TX passed away on Friday, February 24, 2012 at Texoma Medical Center in Denison, TX.

Tracie was born October 29, 1962 in McKinney, TX to Louise Cook Harlow and Haley Harlow, Jr. She attended Melissa public schools through the 8th grade and graduated from Anna High School in 1980. Tracie was a member of various school organizations and clubs. She was very active in the Anna FFA chapter and participated in stock shows throughout Collin County earning many awards for her prize-winning animals.

For many years, Tracie was an exceptionally loving care-giver for her grandparents, Ruth and Haley Harlow, Sr. Tracie was a member of Melissa Christian Church. She most recently resided at Beacon Hill of Denison. The impaired function of her organs resulted in death at TMC due to her inability to breathe.

Tracie was preceded in death by her mother, Louise Vesterby; grandparents, Kelly and Emily (Glassis Cook); and grandmother, Ruth Holland Harlow.

She is survived by her daughter, Emily (Eastham) Myers and husband, Erik Myers of Lubbock, TX; father, Haley Harlow, Jr, and his wife, Donna (Armstrong) Harlow of Anna, TX; brother, Leslie Wayne Harlow of Melissa, TX; sisters, Christy Ruth Harlow and Clarissa Yvonne Harlow, both of Dallas, TX; and grandfather, Haley Harlow, Sr. living in Homestead of McKinney.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 28, 2012 at the Scoggins Funeral Home in Van Alstyne, Texas. Services will be held at the Scoggins Funeral Home at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, February 29, 2012 with the Reverend Dr. Mike McConachie officiating. Interment will follow at Melissa Cemetery, and the family will receive friends following the burial at Melissa Christian Church’s Hale Hall located at the intersection of Harrison and Central Streets in Melissa.
